Where there's smoke...

Wow. The time is flying by here when I look at the painting, shelving, carpet cleaning, crib/dresser buying and decorating, etc. Funny though how slow it seems when I'm watching Pumpkin trying to push her way out of Cathy the hard way, or when I am sitting around wondering what she'll be like. Cathy and I keep saying, "We can't wait..." Then we think to our friend who just had her baby at about 6 months (about where we are now), and change direction. Inevitably, Cathy will look at her belly and say, "No...we can wait, Hun."

However, most of time, I notice our precious "DINK" (dual income, no kids) time slipping away. As such, I have finally begun all the large tasks. Cathy and I have almost chosen a color and theme. I have given up on fancy shelves and bought some from Home Depot. This weekend, I will be clearing all the crap out of storage and start turning storage into the nursery (which has been in name only up till now). If there is time left this weekend, I may even start on cleaning all the carpets. And I'll definitely be hanging my new battery organizer (thanks, Steph!)

And all without the benefit of smoking. While Cathy has never told me that I had to stop smoking, I was beginning to think that what she was really saying was that I don't have to live in the same house as her and the baby. Therefore, I am now three weeks without a cigarette. Unfortunately, cigarettes always helped motivate me to work before, so I'm having a particularly tough time getting started. Oh well.

Anyhoo, I will be updating more often coming up in the future, so check back often...so that you can call me a liar!
