Picture Fix and Missing "Body" Parts

Well into week three now.  Sleep is coming a little more regular, but only because Cathy and I are finding routines.  I am learning how to do everything one-handed, which means my left arm is getting a workout.  By the time Cassidy is 6 months old, my left arm will be twice the size of my right, and I'll be able to type 100 words a minute using just my right hand.

Seriously, though, Cassidy is spending longer and longer periods of time by herself in car seats, bouncy seats, swings, cribs, etc.  The longest by far is the car seat, but mostly only while the car is moving at highway speed.  With gas approaching $4 per gallon, though, we are determined NOT to use this knowledge to our sleep advantage.  I may design a machine that mimics the feel of the car seat at highway speeds, but it would only be after I get more sleep.  It will have to wait for Cassidy to use on her kids then, but by then we'll have cars that run on tap water.

I know several people have been looking for new pictures, so here are some good ones from the last week.
I love how the dogs have taken to Cassidy, so far.
A rare sight...Cassidy asleep...in a bed...by herself.
And here is the big news of the week.  If you will look closely, a part of my daughter fell off.  It looks like she'll be an "innie."

i have heard of people putting their little one in the car seat and strapping it to the top of the washing machine to mimic car rides ~ just make sure it can't wiggle off!
