PUMPKIN HAS ARRIVED!!!Wednesday Morning, Cathy, not feeling well, and Gene went to the doctor for a quick check-up. They decided to admit immediately and induce on Thursday morning. Induction occurred at 5am and almost 11 hours later...
Cassidy Amelia Littleton was born at 3:49PM on May 1st. She measured 21.5" long and weighed in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces. She has the right number of fingers, toes, etc and everyone will be happy to note that she seems to resemble Cathy. She has also scored a 9 out of 10 on the APGAR test (click for more).
Mom and baby are both doing fine today. Dad is a nervous wreck, but more together than he thought he'd be. Cassidy slept much of the night and gave us some rest, but it's anyone's guess if that will continue. We will be returning home from the hospital on Saturday sometime.
Here I am. The proud Papa! I am still a little afraid of her here, but I soon got over that.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all three of you! Cassidy is beautiful (and from the pictures Carye sent she really does resemble her Mamma!) excellent work ~ and now the big adventure truly does begin ~ I suspect you are going to LOVE it!
Ok, she's stunning and I can't believe I can't be there. When do you want company? I'm ready to book my flight today!!!

PS: Daniel loves the name and said he's going to call her "amelia"...he also wanted to know if it hurt Cathy when she came out...he is very intrigued by the whole process. Macey is proud to have a new little girl cousin. They both think she's tiny and adorable!
Congratulations to you! Happy birthday to Cassidy! How amazing that she is here and you are PARENTS! Wow! I can't wait to meet her! Let the fun begin! Yahooo!
